S.R. Laws

Listen Up House Concerts is excited to present S.R. Laws for the first time and we can't wait to share his super cool songs and storytelling with our friends under the redwoods!

I work at songwriting with a fair amount of tempestuousness. I get inspired to put together words, music and melodies out of an appreciation for storytellers John Hiatt & Rodney Crowell and songwriters like Neil Finn, Chuck Prophet and Ron Sexsmith. 

 I grew up in Northern California.  My father worked as a trash collector before the times of automatic bin lifters. I would dig through large black garbage bags full of old 45 records all afternoon.  “Someone must have tossed them out of their collection.” I’d think..but, there they were in front of me and I needed them!
